Eric’s Bio

I am a software developer with twenty years of industry experience.  My interest in computers goes back to my high school days where I stayed after school with my friends and learned to program in Basic on an Apple II.  Since that time, I have worked on Windows, UNIX and Macintosh computers, in everything from Java and C# to HyperCard, C, Pascal, Prograph, 4D, Visual Basic, and a whole lot else besides.  I am an avid reader and a student of the software development process.  I am also a writer and host a blog focused on technology and software development.

I have worked in several industries including the financial industry, retail, professional services, commercial software development and consulting.  These are some of the companies that I have worked for, either as a consultant or an employee:  DesignSoft, R.R. Donnelly & Sons, Bowne, Peppler & Associates, Betzold Research and Trading, and Members United Corporate FCU.

Currently I am employed as Chief Software Architect for MDeverywhere.  My focus is on architecture, design, team building, software development methodology and process.  We are working on creating a new customer facing application that will integrate the functions of several legacy systems.  The goal is to create an application that will provide customers with a great user experience and that will streamline back-end processes.
